A note from Erin
Obesity and diabetes rates are rising to epidemic levels and health care costs are on a steady climb. A healthy lifestyle is critical to not only our longevity but also our quality of life. With such abundance surrounding us, and contradiction in all of the news reports on diet, it is so hard to know which choices to make. Without lifelong changes in eating and exercise habits, the weight- and the health concerns- return, usually amplified.
My name is Erin Nicole Nelson. I obtained my bachelors degree from the University of Arizona in Near Eastern Studies and Political Science, but all along my true passion was fitness and wellness. With almost 20 years in the industry, I have obtained credentials as a lifestyle health coach, and numerous fitness certifications including the ACSM Health and Fitness Instructor. I have worked in diabetes prevention and management of early knee osteoarthritis. In my experience in fitness and wellness, I have seen first-hand how healthy lifestyle choices change lives- and how we increase our chances for success through great individualized programs with personal contact and mentoring. That is why Patriot’s Dream was founded.
Patriot’s Dream is a small family farm west of Tucson, Arizona. People come to Patriot’s Dream to work individually with me or to create a personal plan for fitness and nutrition, and take charge their lives and health. During a stay at our farm, guests learn by doing. When guests arrive, they take part in fitness and nutrition sessions, and take part in cooking healthy meals. By the time a guest leaves, they are taking charge- planning and preparing their own meals, and trying new workout styles while mastering variety and challenge in their favorites. Guests at Patriot’s Dream return to their everyday lives refreshed- with tools and motivation to maintain their health and wellness. Included in these tools is phone contact on a weekly, then monthly basis following their stay on site.
